The Ninth Pocket

Extended-art binder pages for your Pokémon cards

Each page is eight printed tiles that go in the pockets around your card. On an extended-art page the tiles are one continuous illustration that carries the card's own artwork out into the surrounding pockets, so the scene lines up at the pocket edges. Your card sits in the ninth pocket and completes the page.

How it works

  1. Pick the sizeMeasure a pocket on your binder page. Standard pockets take the 63 × 88 mm tiles (PDF page 1). Vault X and other oversized pockets take the 66 × 94 mm tiles (PDF page 2).
  2. Print at 100% scaleOpen the US Letter or A4 PDF and print at 100% or "actual size", never "fit to page", or the tiles come out small. Matte photo paper or heavy cardstock works best. Any print shop or photo lab can print the PNG tiles too.
  3. Cut along the tick marksEach tile has small crop ticks at its corners. A ruler and craft knife give the cleanest edges; scissors work fine.

Every download includes both tile sizes: standard 63 × 88 mm and Vault X 66 × 94 mm. Full printing and assembly steps.

Questions

What is an extended-art binder page?

A set of eight printed tiles that fill the pockets around one card in a 9-pocket binder page. The tiles carry one continuous illustration that continues the card's own artwork, so the card looks like the middle of a larger picture.

Is the card included?

No. Every download leaves the center pocket empty for your own card. Cards shown in photos are for demonstration only.

What sizes are the tiles?

Two sizes come with every page: standard 63 × 88 mm for classic 9-pocket pages, and 66 × 94 mm for Vault X side-load binders and other oversized pockets.

Which binders do the pages fit?

Any 9-pocket binder page with standard card-sized pockets, side-load or top-load. For Vault X and other binders with larger pockets, use the 66 × 94 mm tiles included in the same download.

How do I print them?

Print the US Letter or A4 PDF at 100% scale on matte photo paper or cardstock and cut along the tick marks. A print shop or photo lab can print the 300 DPI PNG tiles instead. Full steps are on the How it works page.
